Job summary

Orion Marine Construction, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent in Tampa, FL to lead marine projects on-site.

You will coordinate with Project Manager, General Foremen and field crews to plan, schedule, and execute work safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include overseeing equipment, subcontractors, and safety compliance; monitoring progress, controlling costs, and ensuring quality workmanship in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of marine construction experience on work barges or job sites.
• Ability to oversee multiple crafts and crews (pile driving, crane operations, welding, carpentry).
• Supervisory experience with accountability for safety and scheduling.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute marine construction projects with the Project Manager to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate objectives with General Foremen and subcontractors prior to construction.
• Secure equipment and materials required for project execution.
• Attend pre-construction meetings to understand scope and schedule.
• Monitor costs and ensure expenditures stay under budget.
