Job summary

ORION in Mobile, AL is seeking a capable Foreman to supervise marine construction projects, coordinate crews, ensure safety protocols, and keep work on schedule. The role requires arranging tasks with the Project Superintendent and on-site craftsmen, inspecting equipment, and enforcing company health, safety and environmental policies.

You will mentor workers, document time, and maintain open communication with supervisors while promoting a safe, efficient, and organized worksite.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years marine construction supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and coordinate multiple crafts.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Works as assigned by the Project Superintendent to ensure successful completion of marine construction projects.
• Plans and schedules work activities and assigns crews to tasks.
• Monitors timelines to meet project deadlines and ensure on-time completion.
• Ensures proper permits are in hand prior to work proceeding.
• Inspects equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Supervises skilled or semi-skilled craft employees on the site.
• Enforces Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
• Trains new workers and analyzes/resolves work problems.
• Manages time records and coordinates crew activities.
• Promotes a safe, efficient, and organized work environment.
