Job summary

IDEX Corporation is seeking a Team Leader to coordinate daily operations in a high‑mix, high‑volume manufacturing environment. You will lead frontline teams, drive execution, and model a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement.

The role requires prioritizing, aligning people and processes to meet production schedules, and engaging with Quality and Engineering to improve cost, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and interdepartmental workflows.
• Structured problem‑solving skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and sales order data daily to identify issues, establish priorities, and assign personnel across multiple manufacturing cells.
• Actively support production by producing and/or inspecting parts as needed to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards.
• Collect operational data, identify manufacturing pain points, and provide feedback to Quality and Engineering; recommend and implement improvements to cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Lead and execute continuous improvement projects assigned by the Value Stream Manager to achieve targeted performance outcomes.
• Monitor employee performance; document and elevate performance or disciplinary concerns up to a memorandum for record, as appropriate.
• Partner with Quality to drive resolution of customer complaints and corrective actions.
• Model and reinforce a culture of safety, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
