Job summary

AbbVie in Massachusetts is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor I for a Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm shift. This full-time role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of manufacturing experience; SAP experience is a plus.

You will lead a production team, ensure safe operations, maintain quality, and support cost reductions while complying with regulatory requirements and cGMPs. Training, performance reviews, and shift handovers are core duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering is required.
• Two years of manufacturing or related experience are required; supervisor experience is preferred.
• Experience with safety, quality systems and cGMPs is required; SQL/track documentation knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safety: promote a zero-incident culture and ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
• People: deploy team, delegate tasks, train staff, conduct 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Operational: coordinate shift activities to meet production schedule and ensure smooth handover.
• Compliance: ensure adherence to regulatory requirements; manage line clearance and material checks.
• Performance: manage cycle time and changeovers, seek improvements.
• Development: develop direct reports with training and growth opportunities, proactive self-development.
• OpEx: participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Waste: generate and manage non-hazardous and hazardous waste per procedures and regulations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required

Science or engineering degree preferred

Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
