Job summary

Great Dane in Statesboro, GA seeks a Quality Manager to own the plant’s Quality system and govern performance using Quality gates and KPIs under the Plant Manager and Corporate Director of Quality.

You will develop and implement a comprehensive quality program, lead cross-functional teams, apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement, and ensure product reliability while controlling costs across production.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or other technical degree accepted.
• Experience: 3-5 years related experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• ASQ CQE/CQM certification is preferable.
• Quality management system experience – ISO, TS16949.
• 5+ years in Continuous Improvement/Advanced Quality Systems leadership; 2+ years manufacturing.
• Built in quality experience; KPI management.
• Data capture/analysis; corrective and preventive actions.
• Process control/statistical process control; FMEA; control plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive product quality management program for the manufacturing location.
• Collaborate with leadership for planning, execution, and oversight of the quality management program and continuous improvement.
• Define, develop, and implement short- and long-term quality strategies, goals, and tactics.
• Develop/maintain Quality KPIs including Quality Gates and analyze for opportunities to optimize performance.
• Use Lean Alert activities to drive product quality improvements and respond to issues.
• Lead Lean manufacturing goals and strategies to improve operations and processes.
