Job summary

Great Dane is seeking an Operations Manager to guide all production activities at the Statesboro plant. You will supervise production staff, define strategies to meet delivery schedules, line rates, quality and cost goals while keeping safety a priority.

You will lead Lean initiatives, manage staffing, and drive continuous improvement across PQTC metrics, under the plant management team. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on operations experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years related experience in manufacturing.
• Progressive leadership in manufacturing; familiarity with welding, fabrication, and assembly line operations.
• Lean Manufacturing experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules compliance and Employee safety.
• Define staffing plans and prep line for shift start; manage rework/defects/scrap; drive root-cause actions.
• Pursue PQTC production goals and lead production with customer focus.
• Supervise and develop team; hire/train; manage performance and discipline.
• Coordinate with plant management to resolve issues and maintain schedule.
• Define processes to create efficient workflows and measure performance.
• Assist with plant compliance and company rules/regulations.
• Coordinate special projects as required.
