Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Quality Manager to own the plant-level Quality System under the Plant Manager and Corporate Director of Quality. You will govern QA/QC with Quality Gates and KPI performance, driving Lean initiatives, continuous improvement and cost reduction across production.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, 5+ years in CI/quality leadership, ASQ CQE/CQM, and extensive experience with ISO/TS16949.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (or related technical degree).
• 5+ years in CI and/or advanced quality systems leadership; 2+ years in manufacturing.
• ASQ CQE/CQM certification.
• ISO/TS16949 quality systems experience.
• KPI management and quality gates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the plant's quality system, including QA and QC.
• Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and improve the quality program.
• Define strategies and tactics for quality management and cost reduction.
• Develop and track Quality KPIs and implement Quality Gates.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Provide quality engineering support to operations and resolve quality issues.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to resolve customer concerns.
• Serve on the Plant Senior Leadership Team to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
