Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Quality Manager to own the plant-level Quality system under the Plant Manager and Corporate Director of Quality. You will lead the product quality management program, develop KPIs, and collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement and cost reductions.

You will manage quality gates, data analysis, and training, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Quality Management System experience – ISO, TS16949.
• 5+ years in Continuous Improvement and/or Advanced Quality Systems leadership; 2+ years in manufacturing.
• ASQ CQE/CQM Certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive product quality management program for the manufacturing location.
• Collaborate with leadership on planning, execution, and oversight of quality management and continuous improvement.
• Define, develop, and implement short- and long-term quality strategies and tactics.
• Develop and monitor KPIs including Quality Gates; analyze for optimization opportunities.
• Lead Lean activities to drive quality improvements and respond to issues.
• Support Lean Manufacturing goals to improve operations and processes.
• Develop and analyze data to determine standards and reliability targets for finished products.
• Direct inspection and testing activities; ensure control over materials and facilities.
• Coordinate training related to product quality and reliability.
• Investigate and address customer quality concerns.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to review critical part features and tolerances.
• Provide quality engineering support to operations; ensure consistent application of quality techniques.
• Resolve quality issues related to capability, tolerancing, and materials.
• Communicate Great Dane’s commitment to quality improvement; coordinate pre-launch process monitoring.
• Work with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to resolve complaints.
• Contribute to Plant Senior Leadership Team targets for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
