Job summary

Great Dane, a leading trailer manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Manager to own the plant-level quality system and drive governance using KPIs and quality gates. You will report to the Plant Manager and Corporate Director of Quality and lead the development of the quality management program and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will implement short- and long-term quality strategies, manage QA/QC, collaborate with leadership, and mentor staff to improve product reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in quality/continuous improvement.
• Experience with ISO, TS16949 and quality systems.
• CQE/CQM certification.
• Strong KPI management and data analysis skills.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and TPM/OEE.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive product quality management program for the manufacturing location.
• Collaborate with leadership for planning and oversight of quality programs and continuous improvement.
• Define and implement short- and long-term quality strategies and KPIs.
• Develop/maintain quality KPIs including quality gates and PCM analysis.
• Lead Lean initiatives to improve product quality and reduce costs.
• Provide quality engineering support to operations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Maintenance on customer issues.
• Serve on Plant Senior Leadership Team and support safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
