Job summary
Colonial Group in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, document, implement, and improve processes to meet business objectives. You lead projects to improve delivery, quality, and cost, coordinating with other functions.
Responsibilities include applying Lean and Six Sigma, developing manufacturing processes from design input, training staff, and maintaining process capability and routings. Strong CAD and analytics skills expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2–4 years of related experience.
- Experience reading part and assembly drawings/prints; ERP software familiarity.
- LabVIEW experience is a plus; CNC, SPC and GD&T knowledge is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Create, develop, document, implement, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Lead projects to improve delivery, quality, and cost with cross‑functional coordination.
- Develop, document, train staff on new processes and equipment; maintain routings and process sheets.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; investigate automation concepts and ROI.
- Maintain production layouts, tooling, fixtures, and capital equipment with ROI focus.
- Assist in APQP, PFMEA, and process validation activities.
