Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the Milwaukee area to develop, implement, and improve processes on the factory floor. You will link design engineering with production, introducing new products and engineering changes to existing lines to improve balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.

You will lead efforts to reduce costs, enhance safety, and maintain ISO compliance while driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering and 1–6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• GPA 3.0+ if under 3 years of experience.
• CAD skills (Creo/Pro-E) and MS Office proficiency.
• Lean / Six Sigma knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor.
• Develop operation method standards for assembly processes.
• Apply Lean principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production line problems.
• Lead initiatives to mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs.
• Lead design initiatives within manufacturing, including line layout, tooling, and part flow.
• Justify capital equipment and advance safety and ergonomics.
