Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop assembly processes and manage equipment selections based on customer requirements and quality goals. You will drive process improvements, support automation initiatives, and oversee implementation within the ME timeline.

Responsibilities include collaborating with PC&L for material flow optimization, assisting launch teams with training, and ensuring OEE targets and quality standards are met across new production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 3+ years of experience in assembly and/or manufacturing.
• 2+ years of experience with APQP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed manufacturing plans for new programs requiring new equipment or retooling.
• Prepare sourcing activities from RFQ to PO for major outside tooling purchases.
• Gather product information, production rates and assembly requirements from customers.
• Train operators and support launch teams with reference resources.
• Maintain process integrity by updating policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor plant and equipment installation and launch.
• Collaborate with Quality to drive PFMEA, Control Plans and error-proofing into design.
• Lead and develop team members and promote continuous improvement.
