Job summary

Granite State Manufacturing seeks a manufacturing processes engineer to oversee development and implementation of complex assemblies. You will collaborate with procurement, machining, weld, paint and quality teams to drive safety, quality and on-time delivery for cost targets.

The role emphasizes creating routers, work instructions, control plans and inspection criteria, while supporting legacy products and new product introductions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing manufacturing processes for machining, welding, or electromechanical assembly.
• Experience with CNC machining, welding, inspection and assembly.
• Understanding of GD&T and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Experience with project management responsibilities.
• 3+ years in a defense/aerospace-related job shop preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop manufacturing processes.
• Create manufacturing routers based on product requirements and best practice.
• Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions.
• Establish control plans for critical features and special processes.
• Define inspection requirements to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Champion process development and improvement to quality and efficiency.
• Determine and eliminate root cause of quality defects.
• Develop tools, fixtures and test equipment required for manufacturing.
• Create quote details for new and re-occurring orders.
• Support legacy products and NPI with cross-functional teams to meet shipment goals.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, teamwork and ethics in daily work.
