Job summary

PPG in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Operational Support Engineer I to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on conducting process audits across operations to ensure SOP adherence, identify gaps, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for ongoing improvements.

The shift is Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with an entry-level background and 0–2 years of experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; Entry-level; 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Internship or co‑op experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process Auditing/Root Cause Analysis: Conduct regular structured process audits to verify SOPs and work instructions.
• Gap Identification & Root Cause Analysis: Identify gaps and use structured problem‑solving methods to determine root causes; collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Support lean manufacturing and revise SOPs/work instructions/training materials.
