Job summary

PPG, a global leader in coatings and materials, is seeking an Operational Support Engineer I to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on conducting process audits across operations to ensure SOP adherence, identifying gaps, and driving corrective actions that improve performance and quality.

The candidate will work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with emphasis on teamwork, data analysis, and sustainable improvements in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular process audits to verify SOP/work instruction compliance.
• Identify process gaps and root causes using structured methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D).
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to develop corrective actions.
• Monitor effectiveness through follow-up audits and metrics.
