Job summary

PPG is seeking an Operational Support Engineer I to join our Cleveland manufacturing team. The role focuses on conducting process audits to ensure SOP adherence and identifying gaps for corrective actions.

Responsibilities include root cause analysis, cross‑functional collaboration, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on the plant floor.Shift: Sunday night to Thursday night, 10:00 pm–6:30 am.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering preferred; internship or co-op in manufacturing is a plus.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; entry-level position.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured process audits on the manufacturing floor to verify SOPs and work instructions.
• Identify process gaps and root causes using methods like 5-Why, Ishikawa, and 8D.
• Monitor corrective actions and sustain improvements through follow-up audits.
