Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking an Operations Manager for a Freehold, NJ area manufacturing site. You will lead a fast-paced, 24/7 production team, drive continuous improvement and champion a safety-first culture.

The role requires coaching supervisors, managing budgets, and coordinating cross-functional teams across maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics. The ideal candidate has a technical bachelor's degree, 7+ years of operations leadership in FDA-regulated environments, and a Six

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical field.
Seven+ years of manufacturing operations management experience.
Experience overseeing production in pharmaceutical, personal care, food or beverage manufacturing environments.
FDA regulated environments.
Previous experience leading direct and indirect reports with at least 100 total reports.
Root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
Experience overseeing 24/7 operations.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Directs 24/7 manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, throughput, reliability, and cost targets.
Designs and deploys the site's continuous improvement strategy using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Leads hiring, onboarding, and qualification programs for supervisors and team leads.
Collaborates with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, and logistics to meet site objectives.
Manages departmental budgets, labor planning, and operating expenses; advises site leadership on goals and capability improvements.
