Job summary

Elite Spice Inc. in Jessup, MD seeks an HR Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance across manufacturing and office environments.

The role covers full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, HRIS maintenance, benefits administration, and policy development, with exposure to GMP and employment laws. On-site duties on the factory floor with PPE and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of HR experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or food production environment a plus.
• Knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
• Facilitate onboarding, new hire orientation, and I-9/employment documentation.
• Maintain HRIS records, personnel files, and employee data reporting.
• Support payroll processing, attendance tracking, and compensation administration.
• Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, claims resolution, and vendor coordination.
• Process and monitor FMLA and other leaves of absence.
• Assist with employee relations, including responding to inquiries, counseling, and exit interviews.
• Support performance management processes and training initiatives.
• Assist in developing, updating, and implementing HR policies and the employee handbook.
• Maintain records and reports to support audits and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the organization in HR-related meetings, hearings, or investigations as needed.
• Partner with external vendors and benefit providers.
