Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking an engineer to support a manufacturing line. You will monitor, control, and improve processes to meet customer and business needs, and collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams.

You will develop training tools, SOPs, participate in continuous improvement, and perform analyses with quality tools to drive product enhancements.

Qualifications

• A 4-year technical degree or equivalent is required.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Knowledge of 2D/3D solid modeling with AutoCAD or Inventor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering and maintenance to solve issues.
• Troubleshoot problems with other technical staff, suppliers and outside experts.
• Create training tools, documents and SOPs for production processes.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities and events.
• Present technical information or proposals to team members.
• Mentor less experienced technical employees.
• Design, build, and test models or prototypes.
• Estimate project schedules, resources and costs.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for projects.
