Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Cottage Grove, MN seeks an Electro/Mechanical Technician II to troubleshoot and improve production equipment. You will apply advanced PLC, drive, servo, HMI, CNC and MES knowledge to support manufacturing and mentor others. Strong safety acumen under NFPA 79 is required.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, part procurement, and equipment upgrades while collaborating with management to schedule work and drive continuous improvement across lines.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot PLC and electromechanical manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical and building prints.
• Properly use testing equipment for multi-trade repairs.
• Work independently and in a team, with strong communication.
• Knowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tagout.
• 2-year degree or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical functions, drives, PLCs and safety systems.
• Evaluate equipment for repairs, upgrades and preventative maintenance.
• Contact vendors, order parts and manage inventory.
• Implement machine rigging, leveling and testing for production.
• Fabricate fixturing and machine parts, including welding or sheet metal work.
• Schedule and complete requested maintenance with management.
• Assist in TPM objectives and continuous improvement.
