Job summary

General Mills offers a Manufacturing & Engineering Associate (MEA) Internship, a 10-week Summer 2027 program designed to prep you for technical and managerial leadership roles within the company.

You will gain hands-on experience in processing, packaging, and broad manufacturing systems while collaborating with Operators, Technicians, and Mechanics to build leadership capabilities and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in: Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural, or related degree.
• Graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028

Responsibilities

• Build capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems.
• Gain front line exposure to 24/7 production to leverage problem solving and learning agility while driving improvements and eliminating losses.
• Learn from and lead Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow coaching, team building and people-development skills set.
• Manage programs to gain experience in capital project ownership, new system startups and / or initiative leadership.
