Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Manufacturing & Engineering Associate Intern for a 10-week program to develop technical and managerial leadership skills. You will gain exposure to processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems while working with experienced operators and maintenance staff.

The internship offers real project ownership, coaching opportunities, and a pathway into the MEA development program after graduation, with relocation support as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Engineering degree in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process, or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural, or related field.
• Strong academic record and ability to work across teams.
• Demonstrated leadership and initiative in coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Build capability through exposure to processing, packaging and manufacturing systems.
• Gain front-line exposure to 24/7 production and drive problem solving and learning agility.
• Learn from Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow coaching and people-development skills.
• Manage programs to gain experience in capital project ownership and new system startups.
