Job summary

General Mills invites students to join a 10-week Manufacturing & Engineering Associate internship designed to prepare you for technical and managerial leadership roles within the organization.

You will gain hands-on experience across processing, packaging and manufacturing systems, while collaborating with Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to develop leadership and problem-solving capabilities. Housing support and relocation assistance are available where eligible.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural, or related degree.
• Qualifications for MEA Milling roles: Milling Science, Food Science, or related degree.
• Graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.

Responsibilities

• Build capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems.
• Gain front line exposure to 24/7 production to leverage problem solving and learning agility while driving improvements and eliminating losses.
• Learn from and lead Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow coaching, team-building and people-development skills set.
• Manage programs to gain experience in capital project ownership, new system startups and / or initiative leadership.
