Job summary

General Mills is offering a 10-week Manufacturing & Engineering Associate (MEA) Internship designed to prepare you for a full-time development program after graduation. You will work on processing, packaging and manufacturing systems while gaining leadership exposure.

You will collaborate with Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow coaching and people-development skills, with opportunities in capital projects and new system startups during the internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural, or related degree.
• Qualifications for MEA Milling roles: Milling Science, Food Science, or related degree
• Graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028

Responsibilities

• Build capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems.
• Gain front line exposure to 24/7 production to leverage problem solving and learning agility while driving improvements and eliminating losses.
• Learn from and lead Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow your coaching, team building and people-development skills set.
• Manage programs to gain experience in capital project ownership, new system startups and / or initiative leadership.
