Job summary

General Mills is offering a 10-week Manufacturing & Engineering Associate (MEA) Intern role at manufacturing plants nationwide. You will gain exposure to processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems while supporting frontline operators and leaders to develop coaching and people skills.

The program aims to prepare you for a full-time MEA development track after graduation. You'll work frontline exposure to 24/7 production and participate in capital projects / system startups with

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in: Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural, or related degree.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Milling Science, Food Science, or related degree.
• Graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.

Responsibilities

• Build capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems.
• Gain frontline exposure to 24/7 production to leverage problem solving and learning agility while driving improvements and eliminating losses.
• Learn from and lead Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow your coaching, team building and people-development skills set.
• Manage programs to gain experience in capital project ownership, new system startups and / or initiative leadership.
