Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to learn PFMEA and how it informs risk reduction in manufacturing. You will work with experienced engineers and manufacturing teams to support vehicle launches and current production.

You’ll develop technical, analytical, and teamwork skills through hands-on projects, workshops, and collaboration across Manufacturing, Quality, Launch, and Plant teams. Hybrid work is included.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Graduating between August 2027 and June 2029.
• Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of PFMEA and how it is used in manufacturing.
• Participate in PFMEA reviews and risk-reduction activities.
• Assist with analyzing manufacturing processes to identify potential risks.
• Support engineers with PFMEA data, reporting, and documentation.
• Participate in PFMEA workshops and learn how different teams work together to solve problems.
