Job summary

General Motors is seeking Industrial Engineering interns to analyze and improve manufacturing operations across multiple facilities. You will study layouts, labor and material control, and work with teams to drive efficiency and accuracy under mentor guidance.

The internship requires a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, is full-time, and onsite at various GM locations. Graduates between Aug 2027 and Jun 2029 are eligible; relocation support may be provided for eligible students.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Must be graduating between August 2027 and June 2029.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Must be willing to work in a plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the efficiency of manufacturing operations and changes related to personnel, material, machines and facilities.
• Lead with mentorship from supervisors; develop accurate methods and optimal operation layouts.
• Communicate with teams and perform vital calculations for studies and changes in labor and material control.
