Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC in the southwest Atlanta metro area seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize production processes, improve equipment layout, and determine tooling to meet product specs. You will lead Lean improvements and DFMEA to boost efficiency.

The role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and requires cross‑functional teamwork, design of experiments, automation familiarity, and occasional extended hours (8–5, 45–50/wk).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Proficient with 3D modeling (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
• Must have tooling experience.
• Project management experience required to run projects end-to-end.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs.
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Industry experience is flexible.
• Experience with zinc/high-pressure aluminum die casting, stamping, plating or finishing; plastics experience considered.
• Foundry experience is desired.
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D/3D software (SolidWorks).
• Implement productivity improvements on current lines.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend design/processing changes.
• Design and implement production processes for new products and changes.
• Perform FMEA on new/existing products.
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for productivity.
• Lead design of experiments and lean initiatives.
• Lead design review meetings for new/existing products.
• Create work instructions, SOWs, inventories.
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration, fixturing.
