Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest area of the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area. The role focuses on planning and designing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency through layout, workflow, and tooling optimization, and supporting automation initiatives.

Responsibilities include design of tooling, process development, root cause analysis, FMEA, and leading DOE/lean projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in SolidWorks 3D modeling.
• Must have tooling experience.
• Project management experience required.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing environment.
• Foundry or die casting experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software.
• Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis and suggest design changes.
• Design and implement production processes for new products.
• Perform FMEA on products.
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve productivity methods.
• Lead design reviews for new and existing products.
• Create work instructions, spare parts inventories and related documentation.
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, and controls integration.
