Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest area of the Atlanta, GA metro area. You will plan and design manufacturing processes, optimize layouts, and improve productivity with a focus on tooling, automation, and manufacturability.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you’ll work on projects end-to-end. The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, SolidWorks proficiency, tooling experience, and hands-on automation exposure.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
Proficient in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and MS Office.
Tooling experience is required.
Project management skills needed to run projects end-to-end.
Automation experience including robotics and PLCs is required.
Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
Foundry or casting experience is a plus.
U.S. work authorization without sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities

Design production tooling using 2D/3D tools (SolidWorks).
Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
Perform root cause analysis and recommend design/tolerance changes.
Design and implement production processes for new/modified products.
Conduct FMEAs on new and existing products.
Review designs for manufacturability and optimize processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize productivity.
Lead design of experiments, lean manufacturing, and ROIA initiatives.
Lead design review meetings for new/existing products.
Create work instructions, statements of work, and inventories.
Oversee automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration, fixtures and gauging.
