Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest Atlanta metro area. The role focuses on designing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and selecting tooling and layout to meet product specifications.

You will lead design of experiments, implement automation and robotics, perform FMEA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize productivity and quality. Normal hours are 8–5, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to use SolidWorks and Microsoft Office effectively.
• Must have tooling experience.
• Project management experience to run projects end-to-end.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs.
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Foundry experience is desired; zinc/high pressure aluminum casting or stamping experience is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software (SolidWorks).
• Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend design or process changes using lean tools.
• Design and implement production processes for new products and changes.
• Perform FMEA on products involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to maximize productivity.
• Lead DOEs, lean manufacturing, ROIA, and related initiatives.
• Lead design reviews for new and existing products.
• Create work instructions, statements of work, and inventory planning.
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration, and related tooling.
