Job summary

The Recruiting Hive seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest Atlanta metro area. You will design and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and layouts to maximize efficiency and meet product specifications.

Expect 8–5 hours with possible 45–50 hour weeks as needed, and a strong emphasis on Lean tooling and continuous improvement. You will lead cross-functional teams, perform FMEAs, implement automation and robotics, and ensure manufacturability of new products while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Experience with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and MS Office
• Must have tooling experience
• Project management to run projects end-to-end
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in heavy manufacturing
• Die casting, stamping, plating, or finishing experience desired
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D/3D software (SolidWorks)
• Implement productivity improvements on current lines
• Perform root cause analysis using Lean methods
• Design and implement production processes for new/changed products
• Conduct FMEAs on products and processes
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing
• Lead cross-functional teams for productivity methods
• Lead experiments in design of experiments and lean manufacturing
• Lead design review meetings for new/existing products
• Create work instructions, SOW, and inventory planning
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, and controls integration
