Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. in the Atlanta area seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to plan and design manufacturing processes, analyze layout and workflow, and optimize workforce utilization to meet product specifications.

The role emphasizes automation, design of experiments, and cross-functional teamwork, with a bachelor’s degree required and SolidWorks/PLC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
• Must have tooling experience.
• Project management experience required to run projects end-to-end.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs.
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Die casting/stamping/plating/finishing experience preferred; plastic injection molding considered.
• Foundry experience desired.
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software such as SolidWorks.
• Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis using statistical methods and Lean tools.
• Design and implement production processes for new products and changes.
• Perform FMEA on products involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for productivity.
• Lead design of experiments and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Lead design review meetings for new and existing products.
• Create work instructions, statements of work, spare parts inventories.
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration, and fixtures.
