Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant in the southwest Atlanta metro area. You will plan and design manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency, analyze layout, workflow, and workforce utilization, and determine needed parts and tools to meet product specifications.

Typical hours are 8-5 with potential 45–50 hour weeks, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, SolidWorks proficiency, tooling experience, and automation/PLC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent
• Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office
• Tooling experience required
• Project management experience to run projects end-to-end
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Foundry or related casting experience preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D/3D software (SolidWorks)
• Implement productivity improvements on current lines
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend design/tolerance changes
• Design and implement production processes for new products and changes
• Conduct FMEAs on designs, materials, or processes
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimization
• Participate in cross-functional teams for productivity
• Lead design of experiments and lean initiatives
• Lead design review meetings for new/existing products
• Create work instructions, spare parts inventories, and critical parts inventories
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration and fixturing
