Job summary

HungryPanda is seeking a Business Development professional fluent in Mandarin to recruit merchants and drive onboarding in the U.S. market. You will visit merchants in target areas, pitch partnerships, and close deals while building lasting relationships for growth in GMV and order volume.

You will collaborate with Marketing and Product to implement campaigns and optimize merchant performance, combining field presence with data-backed insights.

Qualifications

• Mandarin fluency is required; English is a plus.
• Experience in B2B sales, merchant acquisition, or offline BD is desirable.
• Familiarity with the food delivery industry, local retail, or platform operations is helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with business owners.
• Able to work independently, manage field visits, and close deals under pressure.
• Well organized with time management, project coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Team player, able to work with Marketing, Operations and Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit potential merchants to join the platform and onboard them.
• Conduct frequent in-person visits to pitch cooperation and finalize onboarding.
• Maintain long-term merchant relationships with regular business support and visits.
• Work with merchants to develop platform strategies to grow orders and GMV.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns with Marketing to boost exposure and transactions.
• Update merchant backend data and settings for smooth operations and tracking.
• Monitor market trends and gather merchant feedback to inform decisions.
