Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Dallas, TX is seeking a Manager, Transformation Services within our Private Equity Performance Improvement practice to lead complex engagements for portfolio companies. The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in cost reduction, organizational restructuring, or similar programs, plus MBA and PE experience a plus.

You will design and implement performance improvement plans, quantify savings, and deliver actionable recommendations that improve EBITDA and cash flow.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional industry or consulting experience implementing cost reduction programs, organizational restructuring, and / or cost structure improvements is required.
• Depth in a particular industry vertical a PLUS (e.g., industrial, business services, distribution, consumer products and retail).
• MBA from a top-tier school highly preferred.
• Experience working with PE and/or PE relationships a PLUS (personal or professional) and experience working in both professional services and industry a PLUS.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements delivering large, complex client projects by working with Private Equity leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies.
• Identify opportunities to significantly reduce cost structure by changing leadership, staffing levels, and back-office effectiveness.
• Synthesize insights from data, opinions, or facts to enhance EBITDA and operating efficiencies.
• Implement programs to reduce cost structure, including changes to roles, processes, and workforce reductions.
• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations.
• Hands-on experience across margin management, S&OP, supply chain, organizational design, non-labor cost efficiency, KPIs, SG&A, and working capital.
