Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director for Operations Group / Transformation Services within its Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. You will lead large, complex engagements to improve operating results for portfolio companies and work closely with PE leadership.

The role requires 10+ years in cost‑reduction programs or organizational restructuring, with MBA preferred; experience with private equity is a plus. Competitive salary and discretionary bonus available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional or consulting experience implementing cost‑reduction programs, organizational restructuring, or cost‑structure improvements.
• MBA from a top‑tier school is highly preferred.
• Experience with private equity relationships is a plus.
• Experience in both professional services and industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structure and manage time‑sensitive performance‑improvement plans to completion.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost structure by restructuring leadership, staffing levels, unit structures, and back‑office efficiency.
• Synthesize insights to enhance EBITDA and operating efficiencies.
• Implement cost‑reduction programs, including role changes and process improvements.
• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations.
