Mayfair Management Group is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our Houston-area team. You will support the Community Manager and help oversee day-to-day operations of residential properties, including leasing support, budgeting, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience managing residential properties
• Ability to supervise staff and manage others
• Strong knowledge of property management operations
• Coordinate leasing and maintenance activities

Responsibilities

• Act as the Community Manager when the Community Manager is not present.
• Verify, post, and reconcile business transactions across journals or computer files.
• Audit lease files for accuracy and compliance.
• Collect delinquent rents and manage the rental collection process.
• Assist Leasing Consultants in marketing vacant apartments.
• Support the Community Manager in resident services and activities.
• Maintain resident files accurately and timely.
• Assist in accounts payable and tracking invoices.
• Train staff on property computer and software systems.
• Schedule repairs and inspect ready-to-rent units.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls as required.
• Assist with evictions in compliance with court orders.
• Create and maintain a positive environment for staff and residents
