Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an AI-forward operator to revolutionize how People Operations runs, integrating data, automation, and strategic HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle.

You will own design and execution of HR service delivery, partnering with IT, Payroll, HR M&A, and HR Business Partners to modernize work in an AI-enabled environment—faster, smarter, and more responsive to the business.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in People Operations, HR program management, operations strategy, process improvement, HR technology, or related field with cross-functional leadership.
• Proven track record of using AI and automation to redesign operational workflows at scale in a global organization.
• Strong program management fundamentals: prioritization, governance, dependency management, executive communication, and delivering through ambiguity.
• Experience partnering with HR tech teams on Workday, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Data-driven thinker connecting metrics to investment decisions, risk, and outcomes.
• Excellent communication, judgment, and discretion with sensitive information.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead with foresight using service data to anticipate organization needs and drive standardization, automation, or redesign.
• Build and scale AI-powered service delivery, embedding AI and automation to improve speed and employee experience while preserving human oversight.
• Act as strategic advisor across People function and align HR activities to business priorities.
• Translate cross-functional needs into process maps, requirements, and launch plans for automated, self-service, or human-supported workflows.
• Lead and develop a team, modeling data-driven decision-making and AI usage as daily practice.
• Tie investments in processes and automation to measurable efficiency gains, cost reductions, and improved employee experience.
