Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in US banking operations, payments operations, compliance operations, or related function within a bank, fintech, or regulated financial services environment.
• 2+ years of people management experience with coaching and building accountable teams.
• Experience with high-risk money movement workflows and payment rails (Wires, ACH, SWIFT, checks) and transaction monitoring.
• Fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Hex, Granola, Glean) to improve team effectiveness and operational scale.
• Strong judgment for risk assessment, escalation decisions, and audit-ready documentation.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Treasury/Finance, or external partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complexity into clear guidance.
• Builder mindset with focus on process improvements and scalable workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead Banking Operations analysts by prioritizing work, coaching performance, and maintaining high accountability.
• Oversee payment monitoring across rails (Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH, checks, stablecoins) with timely reviews and risk-based decisions.
• Develop scalable onboarding, QA, escalation management, and coverage planning frameworks.
• Advance AI-native goals by identifying high-impact use cases and integrating AI tools into workflows.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and external banking partners to strengthen controls and readiness for new workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying root causes, refining procedures, and increasing throughput without compromising controls.
• Produce clear reporting and leadership-ready insights on trends, risks, and process gaps.
