Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Malay Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support USCIS contracts. You will provide real-time Malay-English interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in immigration and legal contexts.

Remote work is available with secure USCIS-approved systems. Candidates must be native or near-native in Malay and English, with 2+ years of interpreting experience and eligibility for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Malay and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, community, legal, healthcare, or government preferred).
• Knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
• Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Malay English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret accurately and impartially in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA reviews.
