Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Hmong Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. This role requires real-time Hmong-English telephonic interpretation for interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.

You will maintain accuracy, impartiality, and confidentiality, work on scheduled and surge calls, and participate in training and quality assurance. Remote work is available via USCIS-approved systems for eligible US-based candidates.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Hmong and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, community, medical, or legal preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
• Strong communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Hmong English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
• Deliver interpretation with accuracy, impartiality, and cultural sensitivity.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
