Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Telugu Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support USCIS contract. The role requires native or near-native Telugu and English fluency and 2+ years of interpreting experience, preferably in immigration or government work.

You will deliver real-time telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings, maintaining neutrality and confidentiality. Remote work options and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Telugu and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, government preferred).
• Knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
• Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Telugu English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
• Deliver interpretation with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Handle both scheduled and urgent/surge assignments.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.
