Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Thai Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. This remote role focuses on real-time Thai-English interpretation for immigration interviews and hearings, with emphasis on accuracy, impartiality, and confidentiality.

The position offers flexibility, paid training, and opportunities for advancement within a federal contract, along with secure USCIS-approved platforms for remote work.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Thai and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, government preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
• Strong telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Thai - English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
• Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.
