Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Make Ready to ensure vacated apartments are restored to market-ready status in a timely manner and according to the manager's timetable. This role supports our property teams and requires attention to detail and reliability on the job site.

You will inspect units, replace fixtures, handle basic repairs, and assist with painting or cleaning as needed, with on-call hours and weekend shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work on call and extended hours (including weekends).
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work.
• Professional representation of the company.
• Safety-conscious and compliant with policies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklist; inform Lead Maintenance.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Check lights and replace as necessary.
• Repair/replace windows, hinges, doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, and closets.
• Inspect appliances and report issues; assist with moving appliances.
• Install ceramic tile backsplash in the kitchen; replace washers as needed.
• Perform exterior repairs and assist with painting duties when requested.
• Repair curtains, blinds, and ceiling fans; patch plaster and repaint as necessary.
• Inspect bathroom tiles and perform minor repairs; change A/C filters.
• Operate carpet cleaning equipment; assist with trash-out as required.
• Lend assistance during move-out tasks and other projects as directed.
