Job summary

SunRidge Management Group seeks an Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and well‑kept community. The role supports upholding property value and resident satisfaction under supervision of the Lead Maintenance Technician.

You will train and mentor maintenance staff, assist with make‑ready tasks, and help ensure high‑quality service delivery in a 40‑hour workweek with on‑call needs.

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, the weekly schedule may vary as business needs require.
• Scheduled on‑call work may be necessary.
• Must wear a back‑support belt and gloves as dictated by specific tasks to ensure safety.
• Required to wear appropriate footwear, such as non‑flat‑bottom shoes; flat‑bottom sneakers are not permitted.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: ensure compliance with company policies and laws; inspect vacated apartments and communicate make-ready needs.
• Leadership & Training: complete Grace Hill training; eligibility for commissions or bonuses; participate in ongoing skill development; support safety training.
• Maintenance Coordination: perform general maintenance to ready apartments; replace/repair lights, locks, appliances, doors, blinds, etc.; assist with painting and exterior tasks.
• Resident Relations: restore apartments to market-ready condition; provide a clean and welcoming space for residents; deliver notices professionally.
• Compliance & Reporting: document inspections and repairs; report supply needs; ensure safety and property standards; assist with other tasks as needed.
