Job summary

SunRidge Management Group seeks an Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician to uphold the community’s physical integrity and provide a clean, safe living environment for residents. Under supervision, you will proactively identify issues and coordinate with senior staff to resolve them.

You will train and mentor maintenance personnel, support safety practices, and ensure timely make-ready of vacated units to speed move-ins while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; schedule may vary.
• On-call work may be necessary.
• Wear back-support belt and gloves as dictated by tasks for safety.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: comply with policies and laws, inspect vacated apartments, assist with cleaning and trash-out, maintain grounds and deliver notices.
• Leadership & Training: complete Grace Hill courses, eligible for commissions/bonuses upon timely completion, pursue ongoing skill development, support safety training.
• Maintenance Coordination: perform general maintenance to prepare apartments for new residents, replace/repair fixtures, patch and paint, inspect and maintain units.
• Resident Relations: restore apartments to market-ready condition, provide a clean and welcoming space for new residents, deliver notices professionally.
• Compliance & Reporting: document inspections and repairs, report needs to manager, ensure safety and standards, assist with other tasks.
