Job summary

Pine Hall in Detroit, the first U.S. outpost of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, invites a Maitre D’ to lead seating and guest flow.

You will greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and collaborate with the dining room and kitchen to deliver excellence across service moments. We seek candidates with 2+ years in guest-facing roles, a passion for guest experience, and English fluency (additional languages a plus).

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a guest-facing restaurant role
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Oversee the flow of bookings and seating to maximize dining room efficiency
• Provide warm hospitality from arrival to departure and manage reservations
• Coordinate with management, service staff and kitchen to ensure smooth service
• Quote accurate wait times and manage guest expectations
• Support reservation strategies and knowledge of Sevenrooms
