Gracious Hospitality Management in New York is hiring a Maitre D’ for 550 Madison to oversee reservations and guest relations, driving seating efficiency and VIP service. You will lead a door team, coordinate with the GM, and ensure top-tier hospitality standards in a historic Midtown project.

The role requires strong English communication, leadership, and a passion for service excellence, along with availability on weekends and holidays. NY Pay Range is posted and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must read, speak, understand, follow written directions and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be reachable by email and able to communicate by phone.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive, team-player mentality and customer-service focus.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Own the reservations book and oversee booking protocols for maximum efficiency.
• Hire, train, and schedule reservationists and hosts.
• Review guest satisfaction and mystery shopper reports for improvements.
• Coordinate seating with GM and Service Manager and VIP gifting plans.
• Ensure dining room readiness and manage floor plan adjustments.
• Represent 550 Madison at industry, networking, and social events.
• Maintain entrance and waiting areas and supervise door team.
