Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves handling work orders, preventative maintenance, and make-ready tasks for vacant units.

Essential duties include diagnosing defects, performing repairs, scheduling vendors, documenting work, and assisting with grounds and amenity upkeep. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards and code requirements.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Obtains materials, tracks inventory, and notifies supervision when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities with cleaning, painting, and minor repairs as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
